Out of the entire Nike Penny Series, the third edition is probably one of the most underrated, easily being overshadowed by the Penny I and IIs, and especially the Foams.  Die hard Penny fans can now be at ease knowing that another original colorway of the Penny IIIs will be dropping Spring ’09.  Arguably, the second best signature franchise basketball line to come out of Beaverton, Anfernee Hardaway’s early success and Lil’ Penny gave Nike promise as the successor to the Jordan Signature Line.  However, a nagging knee injury held Hardaway back and left Lil’ Penny hung in the closet.  To his credit, at least we’re left with a line of dope kicks.
