“After a lot of back-and-forth, and narrowing down of the list, the Lebron VII was the #1 pick out of this year’s best sneakers. The seventh signature shoe King James was blessed with, was a special one for a few reasons. The Flywire upper and the Max Air airbag unit was near-revolutionary when it came to comfort in a basketball shoe, and from an aesthetic standpoint, the sneaker didn’t disappoint either. Nike dropped sick colorways from the jump, and as you’ll see in the video our panel felt strongly that this was one of the rare basketball sneakers that looked as good off the court, as it did on-court.”

After getting his modeling-thing on earlier this year for Dr. Romanelli, our fave new crooner (and soon-to-be Duke graduate) Mike Posner utilizes his new found skills for LRG’s Spring 2010 line. Karmaloop TV’s cameras caught up with LRG’s brand manager and Mike to talk about the upcoming line and the collab. Peep game.

This past year has been an active one for the L.A. homies YO and Thurzday. 2009 saw the release of their FREE, yet critically acclaimed independent album – A Love Supreme – produced primarily by Ro Blvd. As result of that project, music videos, touring gigs, a plethora of collabs and other opportunities followed.

After all that, you would figure they would slow down for a little. Sorry, no cigata! A Love Supreme 2.0 is on it’s way at the top of the year, so they hit us with the first jawn off the project. With 2009 winding down, we can probably start looking ahead to 2010 – specifically 2010. The latest update of a classic Swoosh kick comes courtesy of the Nike Prestige. This pair comes in a black leather upper and color blasted with the popular Hot Red. The hue appears on the Nike logo on the tongue as well as the outsole, midsole stitching and the outlining of the Swoosh on the side panel. Hot Red also appears on the lace lock. Offsetting Hot Red is white accents found around the collar padding, the heel area and wraps around the perforated toebox.

This colorway of the Nike Prestige is set for a summer 2010 release exclusively to the “zebra stripes”. Pop the hood for further exploration below.
