Wale x Fat Trel x Black Cobain – Who Don’t

Late yesterday evening, Wale released this jawn on Twitter featuring Fat Trel and Black Cobain. The track came about per the request of the current #3 rookie in the NBA – Brandon Jennings. Yes, # 3! The Compton homie might’ve dropped “two-nickels” on Golden State earlier in the year. But, the opposing rookie guard on that Golden State squad – Steph Curry – has been balling out his mind. Tyreke Evans is #2. I digress – check the track out below.

The Grammys itself was wack, but the events surrounding it are always on point! Case in point: CtotheJL covered Nicky and Greg Street’s jump-off at Nicky’s brick-and-mortar on Fairfax in L.A. The homie Stevie Williams hosted the event, meaning the DGK fam was in tow. Clinton Sparks and Dom Kennedy make an appearance as well. Peep the video for the live motion, then quantum leap to CtotheJL for more pics.

Adidas TS Supernatural Commander – Dwight Howard All-Star Edition

Posted by SkorsasetheKing | apparel, sneakers, sports | Tuesday 26 January 2010 1:11 pm

The big homie (literally), and Magic center, Dwight Howard gets another pair of exclusive wheels to to skate around the hardwood on during the upcoming NBA All-Star game. It’s the typical TS Commander silhouette with a few All-Star design elements slapped on. On the inside side panels, the state of Texas (the NBA All-Star game is in Dallas) is stenciled and lasered on the white perforated upper, with Jerry West’s likeness in the middle. The words “All-Star” also appear across the tongue. Unlike the Christmas Day shoe that didn’t see any live action (thank God. Dwight was less than Superman-like in that game), these should hit retail February 12th. Hit the cut for a closer look.

Vision Streetwear 1400 Hi (2010)

Posted by SkorsasetheKing | apparel, sneakers, sports | Wednesday 20 January 2010 4:09 pm

My skate heads (that know their history) might know what this is off-the-bat! No? Well let me put you “D”. Vision Streetwear was at the forefront of this streetwear-skate sh*t back in ‘76 with bold decks, graphic tees and of course, sneakers. Now they’re back with their classic silhouette – the 1400 high-top – in a variety of colorways and designs for men and the ladies. Dudes get three looks with a black/red/white, white/red/grey and grey/green/white. As a break-away from the commonly used (among skate kicks) vulcanized sole, a pretty thick sole is slipped under a full-grain leather upper with nubuck on the side panels and toebox. An ankle strap rounds out the features for the fellas. The ladies version doesn’t stray too far from the mens’ – slim sole, bold colors and patterns and smoother heel tab aside. No word on a release, so stay tuned.

Peel the wig back on the post to peep the other men colorways, as well as the ladies, below.

It’s apparent these DAMN puppets ain’t going away anytime soon. So why not share with everyone? Here are two more spots from Nike’s MVPuppets in a co-op with the “zebra stripes”. The second (and longer) spot after the jump.

Sidebar: The Kobe V – Game of Death release got pushed back a week to January 22nd.

Am I the only one getting tired of these MVPuppets commercials? *sigh* This one gets a pass since the “The Teacha” is included as Santa, thus a Christmas cross-over of “The Bridge is Over” with trash-talking basketball vernacular. Enjoy!
