Tell us about the focus of The Lipstick Diaries…

The concept of my blog is to basically be a spot for everyone to come and check out the latest fashion gossip, fads, trends, and news. It started off just being a random blog, with every topic from graffiti to music. I wanted to narrow it down and reach out to a certain audience: the fashion world and everyone who loves fashion, art, beauty, music, etc.

So, is there anything special you usually focus on to separate yourself from others?

I try to avoid being that blog that just tells you about a product or news, without anything personal or any commentary. I like to add in some personal stuff, something to make it different and stand out. I’m not a robot, I’m a writer.

A lot of kicks were worn on this shoot, what do you think are the flyest kicks a girl could have?

The flyest kicks are ones that make you feel sexy.  I love the hi-tops because they emphasize the legs, and the colors- it’s all in the color waves.

When it comes to fashion, what are some of your favorite brands right now?

I’m definitely huge for Dime Piece right now. I’m always shoppin’ in thrift stores, and sometimes I’ll get lucky and find some vintage Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent.

Now, The Lipstick Diaries seems to be a collab or extension of VIMBY, how did that come about?

I’ve actually been working for VIMBY for over a year. Started off writing for the VIMBY blog, producing videos, and other minor stuff. We then decided to branch off back in January and start our individual blogs and to also help promote the VIMBY videos. Thelipstickdiaries.com is owned by VIMBY, and I’m the Editor-In-Chief, along with my wonderful writers.
