Video: Nike’s 2015 Global Growth Strategy

Here’s a clip of Nike CFO Donald Blair talking to Fox Business News (who I don’t f*ck with by the way…all about CBNC and any non-Fox biz stations) about Nike’s growth strategy after their Investor Day meeting in New York on May 5th. So apparently Nike Sportswear is carrying the company load at bringing in $4.9 billion, while our beloved Nike SB (and 6.0) category brings in a estimated to bring in a mere $390 million. Who knew Nike acquired Umbro? I must’ve been sleeping under a rock. *shrugs* Hit the cut for a couple images from the event and a financial breakdown of sorts.

Vid: Blackberry 6 WES 2010 (Trailer)

I know. I know. It’s been damn near half-a-year since I updated my personal blog. Sorry. That will change soon though. No, really. Promise! So, kicking off the return to my P+ personal blog space is this Blackberry 6 trailer shown at WES 2010 a couple of weeks during the General Session Keynote. Some random thoughts include…is there a new device coming out with the updated OS 6 system? Is there another touch-screen device dropping? I mean, they discontinued the Storm, right? So why would there be another touch-screen device being produced? What ya think? Anyway…check out the clip. And don’t forget to visit the Premium Plus Magazine blog often with daily updates on everything sneakers x music x art x streetwear x models. CHEA!

Video: Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on CNBC

Yesterday, Curtis (50 Cent) and Robert Greene were running around New York doing some media interviews for their newest book - The 50th Law. A lot of times when rappers - those not named Shawn Carter or Curtis Jackson, and others (Sean Combs is not a rapper BTW) - appear on these kind of shows there’s an air of awkwardness and discomfort. The hosts sometimes try to be over cool especially with the vernacular, while the rappers attempt to use SAT words and phrases that they don’t use often. LOL! No shots fired - I’m just calling “a spade a spade”. However, it brings me great joy to see the two different worlds having meaningful dialogue as seen in this interview, jokes and all. But, it’s clear that Curtis commands attention and has control of the room. This may not be so apparent to the untrained eye. But I see it.

Video: DDB Brazil x WWF - Planes (Tsunami - 9/11) Ad

Now, I understand that controversy and sex sells for certain consumer products; but for a non-profit? Kudos to ad agency DDB Brazil and their client WWF Brazil’s attempt to drive home the point of their message and increasing awarness to their cause. However, NOT at the expense of 2,819 Americans that lost their lives on that (or due to that) very tragic moment in American history. Poor judgement folks…SMH! I’m sure all parties involved has a great crisis management team in place. But, will this cause any damage to the WWF’s brand? Thoughts?

Video: “Stunting”, Or Something Else?

To most, this may seem like “stunting” on the part of the homie Ben Baller. I’m not gonna front though, I got excited hearing that Lamborghini engine roar and tame with the downshift. However, if you knew his prior struggle, perhaps you would view this as the result of motivation, determination, hard work and the many other adjectives that illustrate the characteristics of the process of achieving certain success. What are you doing to achieve your goals?

P.S. This is a clip from A Day in the Life: Ben Baller.

Audio: Jay-Z x DJ Semtex Interview

The popular U.K. DJ and personality DJ Semtex got a chance to chop it up with Jigga Man himself - Jay-Z. They talk about a range of things from success-to-the Blueprint 3 album-to-the internet. And just as applicable to any business he shares the importance of delegation, teamwork and non-micro management as key to doing what he does so well. Anytime I hear Sean Carter speak, whether it be his braggadocious rapper alter ego or otherwise, it provides inspiration. He gives insight into a man who oversees an empire. So I share with you. Enjoy!
